THIRDREALITY Linux Box Dev Edition is a developer-ready smart home hub designed to support standard Zigbee and Matter protocols. It comes preloaded with Home Assistant, offering a ready-to-use local platform for building and managing smart home networks. The hardware includes a quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, and 8GB of storage, along with built-in radios for Wi-Fi, BLE, Thread, and standard Zigbee. A USB port is available for expansion, allowing users to connect external devices or storage. The device is compatible with THIRDREALITY’s full lineup of Zigbee and Matter products and works with many third-party standard-compliant devices. It enables local smart home control via Home Assistant and can interoperate with Apple Home, Google Home, and Alexa through Matter, providing flexibility for developers and system integrators. This platform is suitable for educational use, product testing, or integration into custom smart home environments where openness and standards compliance are important.
