The weight of the brass back aids the fine cutting ability of this saw. It comes with a handle made from stained European Beech and has brass button screws. The handle is attractive and comfortable in use. The 14 inch blade has a maximum depth of cut of 3-1/8 inches. It has 13 TPI and is filed for crosscutting, making it perfect for cutting tenon cheeks. The saw is hand sharpened before leaving the factory and can be resharpened.
