Over a history of nearly three decades (since the introduction of the film camera, RICOH GR1 in 1996), and two decades (since the introduction of the first digital-format GR DIGITAL in 2005), the GR series has always kept the basic concept of pursuing the essential values of a camera: high image quality, quick response and portability. At the same time, the series has always incorporated the changes and refinements demanded to meet emerging user needs.
