Comprehensive Elements of Esotericism: Cosmogenesis & Anthropogenesis: 35 Early Lectures by Rudolf Steiner Hardcover – December 12, 2025

The full German title is: Grundelemente der Esoterik: Notizen von einem esoterischen Lehrgang in Form von einunddreißig Vorträgen, gehalten in Berlin vom 26. September bis 5. November 1905 (GA 93a); which translated into English is: Fundamental Elements of Esotericism: Notes from an esoteric course in the form of thirty-one lectures, given in Berlin from September 26 to November 5, 1905 (GA 93a). I have chosen to retitle this monumental work: Comprehensive Elements of Esotericism: Cosmogenesis & Anthropogenesis, 35 Early Lectures by Rudolf Steiner, as I felt this more clearly points towards the breathtaking scope of this very unique volume that presents materials shared with an audience generally well-versed in the leading theosophical publications available at that time within the German Theosophical Society, of which Rudolf Steiner was the General Secretary in that early period. Keep in mind this was years before he separated off and founded the Anthroposophical Society on December 28th, 1912; and therefore he was still using some of the oriental concepts, language and theosophical terminology that was familiar to his audience at that time — which was well before he developed the spiritual-scientific anthroposophical terminology that is so familiar to readers of his works today. The preceding chain of events has led me to try my hand at a new translation with numerous corrections, a standardization of terminology, and copious notes that is meant to specifically help contemporary students of Rudolf Steiner’s works by including many diverse sources garnered from far-and-wide; and adding four lectures from the early period that I hope will greatly enhance the depth of understanding of the diligent esoteric pupil; whether they are a lifelong serious student, or at the very beginning of their journey. For in my humble experience, pursuing the profound depths of these early lectures is truly a life-changing experience. Read more
