How to make a bottle lamp First, choose the rubber adapter that fits best in the neck of your bottle or vase. If the fit is not tight, you can later use super glue or hot glue to secure it properly. Next, screw your chosen adapter onto the steel threaded pipe, followed by the washer, exposing 1/4" of the nipple. Add the check ring (the disc which will cover the top of the bottle) on top of the washer. Loosen the set screw on the socket and screw it onto the 1/4" of the exposed nipple. Place the socket into the opening of the bottle, using the rubber adaptor to create a tight fit. Here is where you can add some super glue, or hot glue to provide additional strength. Push the assembly down until only the socket cap is left showing.
